I thought it was time I tried to do mermaid nails. Everyone has their own versions but i think mermaid nails are anything glittery and scaly.
Here is my small collection of shimmery scales.
HINT: Whenever you do anything that has bumps/things that can catch DON'T try them out on your thumbs or index fingers. These fingers re used the most so they won't last as long.
With that in mind I chose my middle finger.
- Put a small amount of clear polish on the proximal part of your nail (closest to your body) and use tweezers or dotting tool ( I used the dotting tool with a little bit of clear polish on the tip) to pick the pieces up.
- Start layering them like a house roof up you nail. (add more polish when necessary)
- Once finished, place another coat over the top and vuala!
The colour turned out no where near as bright as I thought so I may put down a purple polish before hand next time.
